Welcome Conquering Mommas! Today I am going to share the vision for Conquering Momma. Be sure to check out the About Conquering Momma page and join one of the forums. I hope over time conquering momma evolves to be a place to meet and engage with amazing women out there! So, my beautiful friends let’s get started.
I can list all the roles I fill, but that would take most the page and I feel like none of those roles are me. This is where the idea for conquering momma started. I know that I am strong and capable, but I lost who I was and I want to figure out a way back to a joyous journey. I know that there are others out there and we are all at different points in our journey. My vision is that we can come together and help each other where ever we are in our own personal paths.
While you may think that you have to be a mom to join or understand conquering momma, that is not my vision. My hope is that women from all walks join for example; working professionals, stay at home entrepreneurs, young college women, stay at home moms, and retired women. Women from each generation, each life calling have wisdom and perspective that is different from one other. I want this to be a community where we have an open mind and connect with our humanity. My desire is this can be a place where we can struggle, but also a place to empower one another.
We as women get so wrapped up in what we do for others that we can forget who we are and that leads to a place of disappointment and frustration. I was a scientist who loved the work she did, but that is not the path I am on now and it was an utterly devastating ride to get where I am at now, but nothing is conquered without blood, sweat, tears, and faith. I am hoping this can be a place where women come to connect. Connect on-line, connect in your cities, and build a community of women that won’t judge you wherever you are at on this journey in life. I want to lift each other up, say to one another I got your back because we are all conquering mommas, but sometimes we just need a reminder that we got this. This is my vision for conquering momma. This is personal for me as I have lived in the despair of losing my identity and community. I understand how much we need these things and my hope is that women can connect and share their own experiences.
